Clinique: Fusing Dermatology and Cosmetics

Clinique is a manufacturer of skincare products, cosmetics, fragrances and toiletries operating under the Estee Lauder Corporation. It all began in 1968 when an article published in U.S. Vogue discussed whether the perfect skin can really be achieved by way of a proper skincare regime only. Challenged by such notion, Carol Philips, U.S. Vogue Editor, Evelyn Lauder, daughter-in-law of Estee, and Dr. Norman Orentreich, a dermatologist, worked hand-in-hand in developing a brand that incorporated dermatological ideas into cosmetics.

Working on the premise that the foundation of a healthy, glowing skin is proper hygiene and cleanliness, Clinique made sure that its products were manufactured and designed to be gentle yet rigorous when it comes to cleansing away stubborn dirt and protecting the sensitive skin.
In just a matter of time, Clinique came to being and is now one of the biggest, most trusted skincare and cosmetic brand in the entire world. It operates countless stores in more than 135 countries across the globe.
