Ecolab: Helping Solve the Hospitality Industries Cleaning Problems since 1923

The food and hospitality industry is one of the pillars of a country’s economy. The way things are done in this industry has evolved so much over the last century and one company was key in making sure that hotels and restaurants all over the country put its best foot forward every time. 

It all started in 1923 when a traveling salesman noticed how much revenue the hotels lost when they had to close down a hotel room for weeks at a time just to get their carpets cleaned. He then set on a journey of developing a carpet cleaner which hotels can use in the room itself making the rooms ready for occupancy that same day. He named his company Electronics Laboratory.  From carpet cleaners, he moved on to developing dishwashing detergents that work best with the electric dishwashing machines that began popping up in hotel kitchens in that era.
